︎History

My career as a lecturer for Game Design began in 2019, when I joined the ︎DE:HIVE of the University of Applied Science Berlin as an artistic associate, after graduating and working in Game Design before. Under the tutelage of Prof. Thomas Bremer, I gathered my first teaching experience in the Game Design BA program.

︎Methods

It's just as important for my teaching to keep track of the students' current level of skills as it is to have a constant exchange in which the students are required to follow the content and actively think about it. The direct applicability of the content in the students' semester projects plays a central role, as the learning content only genuinely becomes part of the students' repertoire through practical appliance.

︎ Philosophy

My students learn best when they can apply the content of my lectures directly to their day-to-day studies and already have the necessary experience when they enter the industry.  I encourage students to constantly reflect on the content taught in terms of it’s usefulness for their own creative vision. There is no foolproof recipe for good game design.

︎Experience

My own professional experience is the most important source for my teaching content. My aim is to convey how processes and methods can be scaled in different working environments and project sizes, what demands will be placed on students later on, and how they can best prepare for their work in the creative industry.
